About VintageKo

A server built by people who never left

VintageKo is a non-commercial Knight Online project run by players who have been logging into Moradon since the first Castle Siege. We are not trying to reinvent the game. We are trying to run the version of it that was worth playing: fixed rates, a siege every week, a visible staff, and a store that sells convenience instead of power.

The server has been live since the 2026 opening wave and runs on a dedicated host in Frankfurt. Both nations, every battlefield and every national-point event from the original client are enabled.

What we run

  • Fixed rates. Experience and drop rates are published and never raised

quietly for a weekend or lowered to sell a scroll.

  • One economy. No cash-shop weapons, no stat-bearing costumes, no paid

upgrade insurance. Knight Cash buys consumable chests, name changes and cosmetics — nothing that decides a duel.

  • A real war calendar. Castle Siege, Border Defense War, Juraid Mountain,

Chaos Dungeon, Lunar War, Forgotten Temple and Bifrost all run on a fixed weekly schedule in server time.

  • Transparent moderation. Ban waves are announced with counts and reasons,

and an appeal is always reviewed by a second staff member — never the one who issued the sanction.

The staff

The team is eleven volunteers: four game masters on rotation, two developers, three moderators for the forum and Discord, and two people who do nothing but read support tickets. Nobody on the team plays a character that receives items, coin or national points from staff tools. Game-master accounts are listed publicly on the rankings page, so you can always tell a GM from someone wearing a GM-shaped name.

Where the money goes

The Power Up Store and the Knight Cash packages cover the host, the DDoS filtering and the domain. Anything above that goes into the season event prize pool. We are not a company and nobody takes a salary out of the server.

What we will not do

We will never sell an item that changes the outcome of a fight, wipe the
server to sell a head start, or hand a clan an advantage because of who they
are.

If any of that ever changes, it will be announced on the news page before it happens, not after.
